Walking Trail

Picture
The TJILBRUKE TRAIL stretches along the coast from MARINO ROCKS near Adelaide right down the Fleurieu Peninsula to CAPE JERVIS Ferry Terminal car park.

One section of TJILBRUKE TRAIL walked by the KAURNA Aboriginal Tribe is situated wholly on the Wirrina Cove Holiday Park. It is known as the KAURNA TRAIL
The Kaurna Trail starts from the gateway behind the 5 Two Storey Chalets. It leads into an open paddock with the marked path climbing gradually to the precipice upon the cliff top.

The trail will take you .....
  • Down to the back edge of the caravan park
  • Through and up the hillside with wonderful views of the resort,
  • Over to the cliff face, along the coastline to the “PICNIC AREA”,
  • The Picnic Area overlooks the Marina St Vincent and has 360 degree views of the coastline and rolling country hills.
  • Then you can meander back around the trees past protected valleys that are home to many Kangaroos (often 50+ Roos can be spotted at a time)
  • Following the fence line back to the far end of the CARAVAN PARK.
You will see spectacular views of the coast from Carrickalinga to Second Valley, honeyeaters, Wattle & Mynah birds to name a few.

The trail is a beginners standard of a moderate incline.
