Why come to Wirrina Cove Holiday Park?
Our Park is like no other... we promise! We are not an entertainment-based Park and It caters well to those who love the outdoors and want lots of space. Unlike typical Caravan Parks, we have huge sites (90% have a minimum width of 10m!) with lots of shade available. We choose not to cater to families who want to be entertained constantly. We don't have Jumping Pillows or the like that keep parents from relaxing and having to constantly supervise their children. Children can run free in a safe environment that is not on a main road. Our Oval and surrounding farmland offers loads of open space so that even when we are fully booked (with over 600 people), there is always room to move. Our motto is "How camping used to be" and we get great pleasure in seeing children make new friends, ride their bikes, fly their kites, learn to make a fire and make cubby houses out of twigs & sticks.
Are we close to the Beach?
Whilst our property is close to the beach at Wirrina Cove. It is not ideally suited to swimming with young Children.
Second Valley is a gorgeous beach only 6kms away or you can easily drive to Normanville which is 11kms away. Normanville boasts probably one of the finest beaches in South Australia, un-spoilt and with pristine soft creamy sand.
Lady Bay is not an obvious choice, but younger Children love playing in the warmer rock pools and turning over rocks searching for crabs etc. Lots of novel things can be found along the beach such as shells and Cuttle Fish that have washed up with the seaweed. A Childrens paradise...

Can we have a campfire?
YES - We welcome you to have small campfires all year around as long as they meet CFS guidelines. We require guests to use only seasoned 'cut' firewood and any overly smokey fires need to be extinguished at our request. Guests may bring their own firewood, but it must be pre-cut and not contain nails.
We do not at any time allow scavenging for timber within the Park (or on surrounding neighbouring property), with the exception of sticks/twigs for kindling - Sticks must be 'narrower than your thumb.' The use of axes, chainsaws or other implements are not permitted within the Park.
